Installi
ng an AC Power Supply in a J6350 Router
To instal
l an AC power supply in a J6350 Serv ices Router (see Figu re 48):
1. Attach an
electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding stra p to your bare wrist and
connect the strap to the ESD point on the chassis, or to an outside ESD point if
the router is disconnected from earth ground. For mo re i nformation about
ESD, see
Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage” on page 205.
2. Using both hands, slide the power supply into the chassis until you feel
resista
nce.
3. Firmly push the power supply into the chassis until it comes to a stop. Make
sure tha
t the power sup p ly faceplate is flush with any adjacent power supp ly
faceplate.
4. Insert t
he appliance coupler end of a power cord into the appliance inlet on
the power supply faceplate.
5. Insert t
he power cord plug into an AC power source receptacle.
NOTE: Each power supply must be con ne cted to a dedicated AC power feed.
